Deodorant pads – Pure Clean & Fresh Feel

On June 16, 2025, our colleagues Dr. Benjamin Wenzel and Dr. Maria Arkhipova from the development team attended the “BIOPOLYMER – Processing & Molding” congress in Halle (Saale) – and came back with very pleasing news:
Our biodegradable peeling pad was awarded 3rd place at the Biopolymer Innovation Award 2025. CMC’s development competed against other well-known companies.
The Biopolymer Innovation Award was announced for the sixth time in 2025, with a large number of developments being submitted.
The exfoliating pad from CMC Consumer Medical Care impressed the decision-makers with its combination of pure cotton fibers with a fully biodegradable exfoliating material that is based on over 50% renewable, plant-based raw materials and is firmly anchored to the fiber surface in an innovative process. In contrast to conventional exfoliating pads, which use fine polyester grains as exfoliating material, this effectively prevents microplastic particles from being released into the environment. In this way, the product contributes to the reduction of microplastics in the environment and is an example of how CMC’s products can also play a part in offering forward-looking solutions to the problems of our time.
In addition to exciting specialist presentations and innovative developments, this international event focused above all on personal exchange – a real highlight for all participants.
The program was rounded off by an excursion to the Fraunhofer PAZ in Schkopau with exciting insights into current research.
We are delighted to receive this award and would like to thank the organizers for an all-round successful event.

From 20 – 21 May 2025, CMC was once again represented as an exhibitor at PLMA (Private Label Manufacturers Association), the largest international trade fair platform for the private label industry.
More than 32,000 trade experts from all over the world attended Messer in Amsterdam. Around 3,150 companies from 75 countries were represented as exhibitors.
CMC’s booth showcased our portfolio of nonwovens, hygiene and medical products that meet the highest sustainability standards. This enabled us to show our customers how we can integrate our expertise in these areas into their product ranges and support the success of their brand through innovation and product competence.
Over the years, CMC GmbH has successfully established itself in the private label sector as a system supplier for the Cotton Care, Cosmetic Care, Medical Care, Baby Care and Home Care ranges and has already won over all well-known retailers with its high level of product and range expertise and high rate of innovation.
In keeping with the trade show slogan “Connect. Source. Grow”, the sales team was able to exchange ideas with industry experts and is pleased about a successful trade fair with many exciting discussions and contacts with both existing and potentially new customers.
CMC has been a training company since 2012. We are proud to have achieved a retention rate of 100% of our dual students to date. Local educational partnerships, such as with Heidenheim Cooperative State University, ensure an exchange with potential junior staff and turn our dual students into company ambassadors. At CMC, we attach great importance to fully integrating our dual students into the teams of the respective departments and actively involving them in day-to-day business. They also work on their own projects within the departments. This provides them with valuable, challenging work and an all-round insight into the working world of CMC. In order to give our dual students an insight into the company’s production and logistics in addition to the administration in the CMC offices, visits are made to the plant in Düren. Most recently, Tamara Olbrich successfully completed her dual studies in business administration and industry at CMC in September. We would like to congratulate her on this achievement. The management and Head of Marketing congratulated her on completing her dual studies. We are delighted that Tamara Olbrich will continue to work in Product Management at CMC and wish her all the best and every success in her new career.

With signing the contract in December 2018, CMC starts its cooperation with the logistics service provider Hamacher Transporte, based in the Rurbenden industrial park.
CMC and Hamacher are looking back on a successful construction phase from groundbreaking in February to completion in December 2019. Approximately one year after the start of construction, the project was thus jointly finalized at the start of the contract on January 1, 2020.
The distribution center was built with a 22,000 sq. ft. footprint, giving CMC the capacity and flexibility needed in its fast-moving, high-volume product business. A whole 23,000 pallets now find their place in the new warehouse.
At the start of the contract, CMC’s entire goods traffic was switched to the new distribution center. In particular, products from the nearby CMC plant in Birkesdorf near Düren are temporarily stored there and assembled for delivery to the customer.
Martin Kasnitz, Director Supply Chain (Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, Customs) at CMC is extremely satisfied:
“We look forward to continuing to work together to increase efficiency and are proud to be able to provide the best possible logistics service to our customers as a result.”
